bye Lali, hello Miri at DaDi

Despite many people wishing the spring would start, it did not stop snowing at all. We got more, so much more :)

On top of that even more sun, what is more beautiful to wake up and see the sky being orange/blue, shining softly over the hills and houses covered in a powdery white shining?

The view from the hill Melibokus was also fabulous, white at the bottom and clear blue sky.

Still, with a few warmer days in between it melts away, a few days later to be covered up with fresh snow again. Or, worse, the sun half melted the snow which did get frozen over in the night, so a nasty slippery road was the result the next day. Its great fun driving though :)

Or, parking on my favorite little hill, without wintertires or quattro no go :)

The only thing that was missing from time to time was a bit of bright, warm sunlight. But also there we got what we needed; making the drive to work much nicer than it already is.

So the Friday started nice, but with Saturday coming a lot more snow was expected.

Later, on Saturday afternoon, we got almost stuck in a snowblizzard on the Autobahn. The view went from “very clear” to “very foggy”, it turned dark and the view got reduced to about 20 meters within about 1 km. Yes, I was so busy driving I did not take a picture nor filmed that :P

In the evening, when the snow finally settled down, a glimpse of moonlight was visible all of a sudden. And whats more beautiful than go out and walk in the forest with full moon, when everything is just covered with a thick, crispy white layer of snow?

Even the view from the field of the Goldenes Kreuz onto the village was beautiful, with the moon from behind. We heard the heavy, almost groundbreaking sound of the snowploughs in the distance, followed by their orange lights.

The little white dots on the picture are no dead pixels, it is the moon behind us, reflecting in the snow. Also our footsteps are lit up blue. Almost kneedeep when the snow gathered, a real little adventure in the bright darkness of the Odenwald :)
